In 1993 I moved to Topanga, California where I lived for a decade. During this time I did several paintings to capture the loveliness of this area where coyotes run free and the smell of sage and pine linger in the air. The area is disaster prone, however, and with the loveliness of the canyon comes fire and earthquakes. My heart will always have a place in it for Topanga as it will for the friends that I made and the Christian brothers and sisters that I met and worked with there.
